Cease Fire's Patent Pending Fire Protection Systems
Cease Fire has been manufacturing and designing our patent pending fire protection systems since 1986. With our original full line of UL-listed Halon blend units (the CFB series), patent pending from 1987 until 2004, Cease Fire has gained a worldwide reputation for its unique, proven overhead fire suppression technology, selling over 25,000 automatic units and one million handheld portables.
Among the customers recognizing Cease Fire's exemplary fire extinguishing product are included the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), O'Hare International Airport, Honeywell, LTV Steel, Navistar, US National Park Service, Chicago Transit Authority, London Underground, and Intel. These companies have depended on Cease Fire modular suppression systems for fire protection of valuable property and equipment. Additionally, Cease Fire was the only private company asked to testify before the US Congress following the ValuJet tragedy regarding future aviation fire suppression technology.
Recently, evaluations of the Cease Fire technology by the US Naval Research Laboratory recognized its value and instituted further testing and evaluation for use onboard large-scale capital ships of the US Navy. Negotiations are underway between the US Government and Cease Fire LLC to place Cease Fire technology onboard the new DD-221 "Zumwat" class ships.
Building on our success and worldwide recognition, Cease Fire has continued to grow and expand our product line, remaining on the front lines of the Fire Suppression Industry. Most recently, Cease Fire has produced our new generation product known as the Cease Fire CFF series, a dual-agent fire protection system which combines environmental and personnel safety with unbeatable fire extinguishing abilities.
A Dual-Agent Fire Protection System
The CFF Series utilizes the modern day Halon-replacement gas manufactured by DuPont known as FE-227, or alternately, FM-200. FE-227 gained industry attention and acceptance immediately with its zero ozone depletive qualities, as well as its ability to be safely used around people, gaining classification by both the EPA and the NFPA as safe for completely covering a normally occupied space. FE-227's ability to interfere with the combustion process of a fire as well as absorb heat from the fire at a molecular level makes it an incredibly efficient product, requiring much less volume than traditional competing fire suppressant chemicals which rely on limiting oxygen.
Combined with the FEE-227 is a proprietary blend of powder (Cease Fire's ABC Powder), which utilizes MAP (Monoammonium Phosphate) and other additives to form a thixotropic gel in our CFF models. This powder, released in combinatino with the fire extinguishing FE-227 gas, settles into the area, covering all surfaces in order to prevent reignition of the fire. Safe, non-toxic, and proven to not induce corrosion or electrical conductivity, this powder is easily removed at the time of clean-up, leaving your sensitive equipment and technology safe from water and fire damage.
The Industry's Only Truly Modular System
Cease Fire's modular, completely self-contained CFF-800 units are pre-engineered, requiring only a simple installation in the space to be protected. Our technology eliminates piping, wiring, and other expensive, complicated installation and puts the fire protection system right where you need it. Our overhead units require little attention and maintenance for ten or more years, providing trouble-free automatic fire protection twenty four hours a day.
Patent Pending
We currently have applied for a patent on the CFF models and it is under review by the patent office, therefore our CFF series is "Patent Pending".
